Funerals

I am a professionally trained Funeral Celebrant; having successfully completed and passed the National Qualification Level 3 Diploma in Funeral Celebrancy .

As as Civil Funeral Celebrant I am not connected to any Religious or Non Religious body. This means that the ceremony can be written to fit your wishes exactly.  My ceremonies are always designed in accordance with the family’s wishes. Some families want no religion and some like to have hymns and prayers included. It really is your choice and you will see a full ceremony script prior to the ceremony taking place so that you have 100% confidence in how the ceremony will be. I will always provide a presentation copy of the ceremony for you to keep and am happy to send copies by email to anyone who may not be able to attend on the day. My one aim is to make this difficult time for you as easy as I possibly can.

Funeral Ceremonies can be conducted anywhere! However, most will be in a crematorium or burial ground; whether a cemetery or a natural/woodland burial ground. If you would prefer a ceremony not governed by a ‘time slot’ there are other options you could consider. As long as your chosen venue is happy to have the coffin present then you could have your ceremony in your home or garden, a hotel, local pub, field, beach – the list is endless.

Many people are now choosing a funeral ceremony in a crematorium attended by a few people; family and closest friends, followed by a Memorial or Celebration of Life Ceremony on a different day.

A Direct Cremation followed by a Memorial or Remembrance Ceremony is also another option that more families are now considering.
